And iiiiiiii'veeeee haddddddd the time of my lifeeeee - and I owe it all to youuuuu. Man. My job is the MOST fun. I get to laugh, dance, happy cry, be outside, witness love, photograph beauty, and connect with people of all walks of life. I love it so much. Weddings, elopements, engagements, proposals, maternity, birth, newborn, family - it's all so rewarding to be trusted to capture!! And it's SUPER rewarding to be invited back time and time again to photograph the next chapters!
Some number fun for 2025:
In 2025 I photographed 112 projects!
23 weddings and elopements
19 portrait sessions (engagement / family / couples)
50+ families for mini sessions (valentines day, floral mommy-and-me, holiday)
22 personal branding sessions
Those sessions culminated in 26,035 photos uploaded to my online gallery hosting site
Some other fun stats:
My overall goal for the year was to stay closer to home (Central MA) so my total milage driven was 5,170 total miles driven (that's almost a third of the previous year which is awesome).
I reached 150 five star reviews on Google!! Thank you thank you!
Of all my projects, more than half of them were at my photography studio, The Lumos Room, which I opened last year. The studio was also rented 50+ times by local photographers!
2025 milestones:
On a personal note, I became a mom! It's honestly so wild to revisit all the projects I photographed while having a new baby. I am proud of myself for still maintaining my business with a newborn but I think I was a little delulu in the beginning!! It gave all my effort a renewed sense of purpose. He is the light of my life and I am so blessed to be his mama. I am more grateful than ever to have my own local photography studio that allows me to stay closer to home. Aside from leaving Joey, the hardest part of it all was finding time to pump during a wedding day. I'm definitely not going to miss that balance act next year!
Some exciting business things happened in 2025 like I was named Boston Business Women's Best Photographer of 2025 and not one did my photo make the cover of WeDo! Magazine winter edition, but I also had another couple featured inside as well. It's always so cool to have recognition for my work!
Looking ahead to 2026
My priority to stay closer to home remains the same for 2026, along with a little lighter of a schedule. While I photographed 17 weddings in 2025, in 2026 I capped it at 10. I've been a little more selective with how far I'll travel / who I'll work with to make sure that each of the weddings I'm taking on is something I'm really, truly excited about. Before, my business was my baby. But now that I have an actual baby, it's restructured my life, of course!
