2022 recap | Tamara Merri Photography

What a year! I HAVE BEEN BLESSED. I’m SO FREAKING LUCKY to do this for a living. Thank you to all of my clients and couples for allowing me to continue this passion ❤️.


Some number fun for this year:


In 2022 I photographed 95 sessions!


  • 45 weddings and elopements

  • 11 personal branding sessions

  • 39 portrait sessions (engagement / proposal / family / maternity / minis sessions)


Some other fun stats:

  • I signed one marriage license and one ketubah!

  • 10,853 total miles driven for sessions.

  • I filmed my first wedding video!

  • TMPhoto hired our first associate photographer!!

On a personal note:

  • I left the country three times: Costa Rica, Greece, and Canada.

  • The whole month of July was spent road tripping across the US with my sister in law. We visited 19 National Parks!!

2022 Recap


This year coming to an end is a little bitter sweet because I’m not taking on nearly as many weddings for 2023/2024. I had a bunch of double and triple headers this fall and while I loooveeee celebrating with my couples, working jam packed weekends one after another takes it’s toll on me physically, mentally, and emotionally!


In order to provide the best service possible, I need to take on less. So for these next few years I’m going to be taking things slower, balancing out my work-life ratio, and being intentional with my time and attention. That way I’ll be able to pour 100% of my creativity into my couples on their wedding day, because their wedding will be the only one of the weekend! I can’t wait to see what 2023 and beyond has in store for TMP!


Below is one photo from every session in 2022! Like always, it's SO tough to choose!!! This year I decided to choose photos that had more of a storytelling element rather than just being pretty. The wedding + elopement photos are kinda sorta in chronological order so you can see the succession of my year.
