Mairead and Joe are the sweetest couple and so much fun to be around! While Joe would have been fine eloping at City Hall, they ultimately chose to have a wedding to spend the day celebrating with their favorite people! The Chocksett Inn proved to be the perfect venue for them since everyone can easily stay right on site. The entire day revolved around the importance of family and togetherness, and of course, dancing!

Meaningful Details for a Central MA Wedding
Mairead did a wonderful job incorporating meaningful traditions and including their family throughout the day. Mairead proudly wears her grandmother’s engagement ring as her own. They have the original receipt from when her grandfather proposed to her grandmother, so they framed it to be included in their detail photos! How awesome is that?! She also included a cherished hanky that had been passed down from generation to generation for brides to use on their wedding day. I absolutely loved photographing these sentimental pieces! Mairead and her bridal party got ready in the two-story guest house on the property. Just her mom helped her get ready upstairs before doing a first look with her bridesmaids downstairs. Their reactions were the best!
While Joe finished getting ready in the holding area above the ballroom, Mairead had a first look with her dad outside in the garden. Then, we all headed to the foyer of the ballroom inside the Chocksett Inn for her first look with Joe. This is one of my favorite places to photograph at the Inn because of how clean it makes the photos look. It’s so elegant and pretty white!
Since it was the beginning of October, the leaves were just starting to change color in the garden area. We took full advantage of this spot to give that “fall feel” to their bridal party portraits. The relaxed and playful demeanor of the group made it so enjoyable to capture them on camera!

Outdoor Ceremony for a Fall Wedding
Their outdoor ceremony in the garden was full of personal and thoughtful moments. Mairead had her father officiate their ceremony and he did SUCH an amazing job! Mairead and Joe each shared personal and heartfelt vows in front of their family and friends. They also asked both of their mothers to be the "ring bearers!” They stood up to present to rings to them before the exchange. It was such a unique way to include their moms in the ceremony that I know they each treasured.

Chocksett Inn Wedding Reception Photographer
As you entered the ballroom, guests were greeted with a table of family photos! It was so special that their grandparents were there and I just had to snap a photo of them holding their own wedding photo. The reception space was filled with candles which paired perfectly with the chandeliers in the Chocksett Inn ballroom. They used a metal hoop behind the sweetheart table with gorgeous flower arrangements that was super elegant and unique! After toasts, first dances, and dinner, everyone headed out to the dance floor. After busting some moves and playing with glow sticks, I had Mairead and Joe sneak outside with me for just a few more portraits in front of the Inn. We brought along Mairead’s heart-shaped sunglasses of course!
