Jenna & Anderson

Meet Jenna and Anderson! They met in elementary school and grew up together. They were just friends until senior year of high school when they realized they had feelings for each other on a graduation trip to Martha's Vineyard. They've been together ever since and got engaged in 2023 on a magical trip to Ireland and Scotland. Anderson proposed on Calton Hill which overlooks Edinburg. I've been there myself and it is a stunning view!! Jenna recalls the entire day feeling like a fairy tale and is one of her favorite days ever.

Spring Engagement in Boston Public Garden

For their engagement session they already knew they wanted to take photos in Boston since they grew up (and now live) in East Cambridge. As for what to do / where to go, I generally recommend doing things you love to do together during your engagement session. They shared that they love to walk the Esplanade over to Beacon Hill and the Boston Public Garden and to rent Boston's Blue Bikes... so that's what we did!

We started off in BPG for some classic engagement session photos with the gorgeous blooming magnolia trees (their session was early May), around the pond, and on the foot bridge. Then we walked through Beacon Hill to get photos with the brownstones and quintessential Acorn Street.

Anderson is an avid user of the Blue Bikes in Boston so we rented a bike to get some fun photos to commemorate their good memories of riding around together! I absolutely love how those photos turned out and it was such a laugh to watch them trying to balance the bike with Jenna on the back wheel / in the basket. We rode the bikes to the Esplanade to end their sunset with the fading sun and pink skies.
