Micro Wedding at the Commonwealth Cambridge | Bria & Stefan

When I first met Bria and Stefan, I was struck by how intentional, genuine, kind, and deeply in love they are! They initially bonded over an irrational fear of skunks and they went on a couple of dates but quickly realized that they were perfect for each other. Their relationship really solidified when they took a spontaneous trip down to the Cape to see a drive-in concert. They spent the next day spending hours walking on the beach and knew they were meant to be!

Their mico wedding at the Commonwealth Cambridge was a very thoughtful extension of their excitement to commit their lives to each other and celebrate their love!

Commonwealth Cambridge Summer Wedding

The Commonwealth Cambridge, also known as the CW, is right in the heart of Kendall Square and perfect for a small wedding. This Boston restaurant gets transformed into a beautiful wedding venue that is partnered with Watermark Residences, which offers two rooftops for ceremonies or portraits.

Coverage for the day began with Bria and Stefan's first look on the 21st-floor rooftop of the Watermark. It was WINDY! So windy, in fact, that when Brida stepped out of the building and onto the roof her veil flew off her head and almost went off the side of the building! I had to run and catch it - all while Stefan's back was still turned! He had no idea what was happening (or why we were screaming) and thankfully he didn't budge until we were ready for the first look! Sadly, there are no photos of this event since I had to put my camera down to catch the veil, which also happened to be her mother's veil!

But after all the commotion, their first look was beautiful with the Boston skyline in the background. Although we tried to do portraits up there, it was just too windy so we went back to Commonwealth for all the formal photos in front of the beautiful brick walls.

Boston Intimate Wedding Venue

Luckily Bria and Stefan's ceremony was on the second floor of the Commonwealth, so it was not nearly as windy! One of the things both Bria and Stefen looked forward to the most was seeing each other as Bria walked down the aisle with her dad, and standing together hand in hand at the altar. It was a beautiful and moving ceremony to see this moment come to fruition along with their closest family and friends in attendance.

We snuck in a few more portraits before joining the cocktail hour with their guests. They kicked off the night with their first dance before hearing heartfelt toasts and enjoying a family-style dinner.

They made sure to add some personal touches to all of the reception decor. For example, Stefan used to play baseball so their "guest book" was an engraved bat for guests to sign. They used their engagement photos for all table number decor - which I always love to see! During the dancing part of the reception, Bria surprised Stefan by secretly sneaking their guests out a few at a time to get temporary tattoos of Stefan's face. By the time he realized, everyone was tatted up!

Everyone spent the rest of the night out on the dance floor. This was such a beautiful Boston wedding and such an honor to capture these two best friends tying the knot!
