Bull Creek Maternity Session

What is a maternity session and why should someone get one?


A maternity session captures such a beautiful time in a family's life. The photos are potentially once in a lifetime and capture so many emotions: excitement, love, grace, strength, and beauty.


Whether you're a first time mom or dad, or are on your fifth child, capturing this connection with your new baby before they're in the world is so special. I enjoy prompting mom and dad through certain "exercises" to cultivate that emotion and get them really in the moment with their little one.


Maternity Session Prompts


Some prompts I use are to whisper potential baby names back and forth to each other, have them sing baby a song, or think about what it will be like to hold them for the first time, to hear their cries, and feel their tiny fingers wrap around just one of theirs.

Maternity Session Outfits


Kendra's the cutest little mama and I am in love with the photos from their maternity session. She chose the most perfect outfits: from the beautiful dress with a slit, to the baby blue body suit, to the open-front lacy coverup. Bull Creek


I love taking maternity photos at Bull Creek because there is so much versatility in the location. There's greenery, the creek, a waterfall, and even a cave-like area that has mossy walls and consistently falling rain. Plus, the cool water feels great when you've been posing in the warmer months in Texas!


Nate and Kendra were the absolute sweetest, and are going to be the most wonderful parents. They absolutely CRUSHED their maternity session! Enjoy these photos!
