When to shop for your wedding dress:
We recommend beginning to shop for your wedding dress one year out. While it takes time to find that perfect style that makes you #SayYesToTheDress, it also takes some time for the dress to ship and be altered. Once you find the dress of your dreams, it can take 4-6 months for it to ship, potentially longer if it has intricate detail. Then the alteration process takes 6-8 weeks. It's a good idea to shop early in order to save yourself the stress of worrying whether your dress will be done in time!

Raelynn by Maggie Sottero. Super cute A line. The color is a platinum tulle so it has a silvery look to it.
C520 by Allure Bridal. Ballgown with really pretty 3D flower petals on it with Chantilly lace underneath.

How to choose a silhouette for your body type:
Choosing the right dress for you ultimately comes down to the confidence you have in the dress. We definitely recommend trying on a variety of styles just to make sure that you're going with the right silhouette. It's all about how you feel in the dress. You should feel happy, excited, and beautiful! There are no rules when it comes to what silhouette to wear for your body type! Signature Bridal has over 700 styles so you'll be in great hands when you arrive for your fitting.
How to accessorize your wedding dress:
There are no rules to accessorizing! Find whatever accentuates and highlights the details on your dress whether that is a belt, necklace, veil, or removable skirt! Ask one of the bridal consultants to pull different options for you to try with different dresses.
Removable skirts for wedding dresses:
If you want to have two different looks on your wedding day, consider removable skirts! You can show off both sleek and ballgown looks in the same day without needing two buy two totally separate dresses. You can wear a sleek (or even short) dress for your reception but put on a removable skirt to have more of a poof or train for the ceremony. If you really want to switch it up, why not try a romper so you can #dropitlowgirl during the reception.

How to preserve your wedding dress:
Signature Bridal recommends using the Wedding Gown Preservation Company which has been in business for over 100 years! You can order a preservation kit through Signature Bridal. If you aren't in the Austin area, you can find an authorized dealer on the preservation company's website. Experts recommend sending your dress off to be preserved within 6 months of your wedding.
Order your preservation kit after your wedding. They will provide you with all the materials and shipping labels you need in order to send your dress in. You may also send items such as your veil, headpiece, gloves, garter, moneybag, handkerchief, slip, flower girl gown, etc. The gown preservation co will clean and preserve your dress and send it back to you within 4-10 weeks.
