Saphire Estate Wedding in Sharon, MA

Saphire Estate wedding venue in Massachusetts

The Saphire Estate is one of the four properties owned by Saphire Event Group. The other three are The Villa, Avenir, and The Lakehouse. The Saphire Estate is located in Sharon, Massachusetts and is one of the most picturesque wedding venues in the area! This elegant estate is situated on 18 acres of perfectly manicured grounds, complete with a stunning lake, waterfalls, and a charming bridge. The estate's ballroom is an ideal location for a wedding reception, with its high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide breathtaking views of the lake and gardens. The ballroom can accommodate up to 260 guests, making it perfect for small or large weddings alike!

For outdoor ceremonies, the estate has a beautiful garden with lush greenery and a variety of flowers and foliage depending on the season along with an elevated pergola for the couple to stand on. The Saphire Estate's staff is dedicated to ensuring that every detail of your wedding day is perfect and they are seriously SO kind and helpful (like seriously - Angela got some mud on her dress pre-ceremony, and the staff was on their hands and knees cleaning it up)! Overall, getting married at The Saphire Estate is a dream come true for any couple looking for an elegant and romantic wedding venue in Massachusetts. With its stunning grounds, elegant ballroom, and dedicated staff, keep on reading to see how amazing a wedding at the Saphire Estate in Sharon, Massachusetts can be!

Angela & David's fall wedding at Saphire Estate

These high school sweethearts brought so much joy and laughter into their wedding day. Scroll through even just a few of their photos and there will be no question as to how they were unsurprisingly given the "best smiles" superlative in their yearbook!. Everything about them and their day was SO positive and intentional - you can't help but smile when they do! Before I go into the story of their day, I obviously have to give a big shout out to all the vendors who made their day a success:

Getting Ready at the Courtyard Boston in Norwood

Both David and Angela got ready at the Courtyard by Marriott in Norwood. While David and his groomsmen got ready in his hotel room, the girls were able to snag the conference room! I definitely recommend you ask your hotel if you're able to use an empty common room or empty shared, private space for getting ready! The extra space allows not only for breathing room, but benefits your photos as it allows your area to be clutter-free!

Getting ready photos are some of my favorites because it helps me learn the dynamic and energy of everyone leading in to the day. Plus, having everyone get to know me in a more relaxed and casual manor really helps come time for formal portraits. While my second shooter, Katie, was having a ball with David and his guys, I was spending time with Angela and the girls. Both of their friend groups are some of the most joyous people I've ever photographed!! I could feel how deeply they all cared about each other, and how they were all supportive of making it the best day.

Although David was getting ready just down the hall, we made sure no one saw each other before we got to the venue!! The guys mostly hung out in their room before heading outside for a cheers before making their way to the venue.

First Look at Lake Massapoag

Since David and the guys made their way to the venue first, he headed to the lake so that when Angela arrived soon after, they wouldn't see each other until the time was right. They chose to have their first look next to Lake Massapoag, which is conveniently located right across from the Saphire Estate! Once they were finally able to see each other they were ALL SMILES. I normally recommend having a first look before the ceremony and one of the big reasons for it proved itself on their day: the nerves wore off immediately. Beforehand the anticipation was real but the second they got to hang out, there was a major energy shift in the best way possible!! I'm so happy they were able to hang out with each other more on their wedding day than they would have if they didn't opt for a first look!

After their first look we headed to the trails and little bridge in the secret garden on the Saphire Estate property to get some pictures in the remaining fall foliage. The sun graced us with warmth on this beautiful November day so we took advantage of both direct light and diffused light while the clouds were passing by. I just love how the sun changes the colors and tone of the images so much!! The photos are in the exact same spot on the trail, but in some images the leaves look light yellow, while in others they look deep orange! *chefs kiss to the sun*

Wedding Ceremony at the Saphire Estate

It was a BEAUTIFUL fall day for an outdoor ceremony at the Saphire Estate. The weather was perfect, and the foliage was showing off its New England autumn colors. They said their sweet vows in front of all their friends and family, while their uncle officiated! They also conducted the ceremony in both English and Spanish so that everyone present could enjoy. There were so many hugs and smiles all around after they were announced HUSBAND AND WIFE! Everyone was just so overjoyed and happy to be there - especially me!! I seriously LOVE photographing weddings like theirs; where the couple is so focused on each other and their love and not worrying about posing. As your wedding photographer, I want you to ENJOY your day, and in doing that I will capture the best of the best REAL moments while you're fully present!

Wedding Portraits around the Saphire Estate

The celebration immediately after the ceremony make for some of my favorite images - everyone is just on a high and so happy and emotional!! Once the wedding party did a few cheers and cellies it was time to set off for a few more couple portraits around the estate grounds! The Saphire Estate has plenty of gorgeous areas around the venue to take advantage of! The newlyweds were GLOWING in that "just married" bubble!

Wedding Party Photos

We took the majority of the wedding party and family phots pre-ceremony, but we still got some more photos afterwards to when the hype was high. In addition to these group shots, I always make sure to take a photo of each partner with their crew individually!! I just don't normally include them in blogs since I don't want to give you a *photo overload* (which I probs already do but I can't help but shareee!!!!).

Reception at Saphire Estate's Manor House

Reception time! I was a big fan of this moody lighting shining into the reception area. Their decor was beautiful with classic white linens and flower centerpieces. I also though the little lounge area was perfect as it's off to the side for anyone who didn't want to dance!! BUT I think everyone was on the dance floor at this party. It was so much fun and music was just as you'd expect it to be for a mix of an English and Spanish speaking crowd!

Also, I've included all photos of them during the MOH / BM / parent speeches because their reactions are amazing!!! Expressiveness for the winnnnn! I wish I had recorded all of the speeches to give a master call on how to nail your bridesmaids or groomsmen speech!

Below is me with three of my brides! Obv Angela is to my right, then next to her is my past bride Lisa, and on my left in the floral print is Laura whose wedding I will be photographing this year!

Kind Words from the Couple:

Tammy is amazing to work with! We were lucky enough to find her through our friends who were also getting married. We were looking for someone who captured real, authentic moments and as we were scrolling through Tammy's website, we found exactly what we were looking for. Tammy captured our wedding day perfectly. She was constantly making us laugh and is amazingly talented at capturing the small details and major moments of our special day. She sent us sneak peeks the next day and we were blown away. She is so well organized and made the entire process so easy. She was always just a text or call away and her experience and expertise made me feel so relaxed on our wedding day. I can't recommend her enough. Thank you Tammy!
