January Newsletter

One of my new years resolutions is to nurture my relationships with others better. So, in an effort to stay connected, I will be sending out a newsletter at the end of each month. The content will be both business and personal related. Business content will be about photography, maybe money management, and travel. Personal will be musings about life, probs my dog, maybe fitness, and National Park stuff. I encourage you to reply back with any questions or share with me anything exciting that's going on in your life too!

You're receiving this because at some point in the last three years you've entered your contact info on my website. If it's been a while and you're not sure who I am, that is me below! I'm a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas but I'm from New England (and travel there frequently).

okay friends- here we go!

JANUARY: from behind the lens

DeSimone Wedding

I ended 2019 and began 2020 doing my favorite thing: photographing people in love. The photo below was taken the shortly after the clock struck midnight at Nicole and Joey's New Years Eve wedding.

Quynh Family Session

I'm absolutely delighted to have been able to photograph this family for a third time! I first met Quynh and Eric for a bluebonnet mini session, then Quynh's Maternity, and now while baby Riley is here!

Check out more from their family session here.

I wrote my "best photos of 2019" blog

Which you can view here. Spoiler alert, this is one of my faves

AND THAT WAS ALL THE PHOTO THINGS. *takes sip of coffee while relaxing on the couch*

JANUARY: without the camera

After a whirlwind fall wedding season, January brought with it a stillness and a break that I haven't had since early last summer. It has been a blessing to have some time off of being behind the camera to reflect on the business side of things. It's important for me to take a step back and see where my business is heading, and make deliberate and intentional strides to encourage it in the right direction. Plus it provides me with the room to think creatively to come up with new ideas for the coming wedding season.

In personal news:

My best friend got married!

My best friend from high school, Shannon, got married and I was her Maid of Honor. I was so thrilled to stand (and compulsively cry) next to her all day long and blackout in fear during my speech. I didn't bring my camera, but man I wish I did. The snow started falling at the exact right moment during their couples photos.

My dog is the cutest!

Do you have a dog? Reply to this email and share a pic!

THAT'S REALLY ALL WORTH MENTIONING. SEE YOU IN FEBRUARY.
