Welcome to Meghan and Tony's love story! We've previously seen them on the blog for their book lovers engagement session. I'm so excited to tell the story of their wedding day!
Glen Manor House Wedding
Their Memorial Day Weekend wedding at Glen Manor House was extraordinary!! Glen Manor House describes their venue as grand yet intimate and I could not agree more! As you arrive to the manor you are blown away by the architecture and breathtaking views of the Sakonnet River. The lush garden is gorgeous from every angle and the logia / terrace provides a historic and romantic feel. As you make your way through the venue you're ushered from the terrace to the ballroom through the entryway and finally into the dining room. Having different rooms rather than a wide open space helps to enhance the intimate, romantic atmosphere while still being in awe of the grandeur of the manor.
Meghan got ready in the bridal suite at Glen Manor before doing a first look with her bridesmaids, father, and Tony. While the first look with her bridesmaids and father were in the bridal suite, we went down to the garden area for her first look with Tony.
Their first look was sweet followed by private vows before taking some couples photos, wedding party photos, and fam photos. It's so nice to get all the formal photos done beforehand so that they could enjoy cocktail hour with all their guests!
Glen Manor House Garden Wedding Ceremony
They chose their ceremony location to be in the garden at Glen Manor House with the water off to the side. The florals by Sarah's Floral Design were breathtaking and made for the perfect accent to the stunning garden for them to say their I do's. Guests were treated to pre-ceremony beverages as they stepped off the shuttle to start the party right away! When the ceremony began Meghan and Tony each walked down the aisle solo before sharing vows and coming back down the aisle as husband and wife.
Cocktail Hour on the Terrace
Cocktail hour was on the stone terrace adjacent to the garden along with under the logia. A full bar awaited guests with signature his and her drinks along with an oyster station and charcuterie table. The river and garden made for a beautiful backdrop for guests to take photos!
Glen Manor House Ballroom Wedding Reception
Sarah's Floral Design continued to wow guests with a gorgeous floral installation on the mantles in the dining room and ballroom. The guest tables were decorated with beautiful blooms, small candles, and green napkins to match the theme of the day.
As guests made their way from cocktail hour into the ballroom at Glen Manor House they were passed Prosecco to celebrate Meghan and Tony's grand entrance. Their introductions were followed by a loosely choreographed first dance. Ending their first dance with a dip and kiss made for an exciting kick off to their party!!
We snuck outside for some more portraits while dinner service got started inside. While there wasn't a sunset it was still the most beautiful night on the water!
From there the formalities continued with heartfelt speeches, dinner, a private cake cutting, then parent dances before the party got started with open dancing, a photo booth, and ice cream station!
