Canyonwood Ridge Wedding | Austin, TX | Bethany & Tim

Bethany & Tim's wedding at Canyonwood Ridge

Their story:

Tim told me he knew he wanted to be with Bethany from the moment he first saw her. Tim played college football at Texas State and saw Bethany for the first time during the spring game. Fans are allowed to come onto the field afterwards to get autographs from their favorite players. Tim saw Bethany wandering around and called out to her "Hey, do you want an autograph?". She came over and he gave her a photo and included his phone number on it. I love the confidence!!

They fell in love in Texas, moved in together in Nevada, got engaged in Florida, and then got married back in Texas!

They celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Canyonwood Ridge in Dripping Springs, Texas. Canyonwood Ridge has an all natural light "chapel" area for the ceremony, as well as a super cool reception area with Edison Lightbulbs, a wall entirely made of windows, and a pitched ceiling with wooden beams to truly make it a remarkable location! Their outdoor ceremony space overlooks the hill country and is perfect for golden hour photos.

Memorable Moments:

  • The sweetest first look between Bethany and her dad and brother

  • Tim's tearful reaction to seeing Bethany walk down the aisle

  • The flower girl threw petals all over guests instead of aisle

  • All speeches were very sweet and impactful

  • The dance floor was off the hook: one of the groomsmen split his pants he was dancing so hard!!

  • Bethany's veil was her mothers

  • Tim's shoes were fly AF

  • The handkerchief Tim used to wipe Bethany's tears during the ceremony was Bethany's grandfathers who passed away

  • Family means everything to them. The majority of vendors were family friends - florist, make up and hair, musicians during ceremony, officiant, photographer

  • They chose the wedding date of 6/28 because it was the day after Bethany's parents wedding anniversary and they wanted their anniversaries to be near each other

xo,

Tam
